Inspiria
David Lott
English is perhaps unusual, amongst the languages of the world, in having two words for the immaterial essence of the self - a Latin one (spirit) and a Germanic one (soul). These poems explore the spirit, as it exists within each and every one of us, and also the memory that we have of the past, even the very distant past, through the soul. Many of the poems are about memory and how the spirit carries the soul’s memory.
